3.  Copy the curvtrad.hlp file into the EXCEL directory.
4.  Attach the hardware lock ("dongle") on your computer's parallel port.

Windows 95 and Windows NT Versions (32 bit)

The installation diskette contains the following files (in addition to sample spreadsheets):

  root directory

i)   crvtrd32.xll
ii)   curvtrad.hlp
iii)  curvtrad.cnt

  win_95 directory

i)   hlvdd.dll
ii)   hardlock.vxd

  win_nt directory

i)   hlvdd.dll
ii)   hlinst.exe
iii)   hardlock.sys

1.  Copy the crvtrd32.xll file into the EXCEL\LIBRARY directory.
2.  Copy the curvtrad.hlp and curvtrad.cnt files into the EXCEL directory.

If you are running Windows 95:

3.   Copy the hardlock.vxd and hlvdd.dll files from the \\win_95 directory of the installation disk to your WINDOWS\SYSTEM directory. They will be loaded as needed by the hardware lock system.
4.   Attach the hardware lock to a parallel port on your computer.

Otherwise, if you are running Windows NT:

3.   Open a DOS box (command line mode) from a log-in user who has Administrator privileges (one will need to have the appropriate permissions to modify the system registry).
4.   Switch to the \win_nt directory of the installation disk, and type: "hlinst ." (note the space and period!) to install the hardware lock drivers. To uninstall the drivers, type "hlinst -d".
5.   Attach the hardware lock to a parallel port on your computer.
